The Industrial
Services Department of HRS acts as an independent third party, where
the National Accreditation Council mentions it under the terms of a
Contract, or as an Accredited Body.
The Industrial
Department offers to our clients the following services:
Certification of any type of mass production industrial products as
steel plates and other rolled product, casting and forged components,
wire ropes, etc. according to specified standards.
Certification of certain item produced in series or in separate units,
such as pressure equipment (pressure vessels, gas cylinders, steam boilers,
piping, fire extinguisher, safety and pressure accessories), simple
pressure vessels, hot water boilers, fuel tanks, machines, motors, lifting
appliances, etc. In this case HRS is prepared to adopt a special survey
procedure, based on type of approval and quality concepts through regular
and systematic audit of the approved manufacturing and quality control
procedure.
Approval and certification of the Welding Procedures (WPS) and certification
of the welders, according to the international standards.
Finally the Industrial Department offers its services in case of demanding
periodical inspection and relevant attestation, concerning various manufacturing
(pressure vessels, steam boilers, lifting appliances, fuel tanks, containers) and natural gas installations.
HRS is a
notified to European Commission body with the identification number
0618. It
also has accreditation in compliance with the ISO/IEC17020
and
EN 45011 international standards.
HRS has
been accredited/authorized to inspect and certify a variety of products
such as:
Lifting Appliances
Elevators
Metallic Scaffolds
Machines
Hot Water Boilers
Simple Pressure Vessels
Fuel Tanks
Pressure Equipment
Marine Equipment
Floating Wharves
Steel Plates and other Rolled products
Pipes
Wire ropes
Etc.
Of course the scope of these accreditation is continuously
expanded
In the
field of welding HRS offers approval and certification of the welding
procedures and certification of the welders according to International
Standards.
In cases where periodical inspections have to be carried
out for certain constructions as above, HRS proceeds upon request to
the relevant survey, recommends the necessary repairs, if any, supervises
the work and tests required by applicable rules and upon satisfactory
results, issues the relevant fitness certificate.
In case of damage in a construction, HRS undertakes
special inspections come up with the necessary increments, supervises
eventual repairs and finally issues the relevant technical report of
certificate.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS CERTIFICATION DEPARTMENT
Management
Systems Certification Department of HELLENIC REGISTER OF SHIPPING is
active since 1996.
Certification services are provided for the following Management

Management
Systems Certification services of HELLENIC REGISTER OF SHIPPING carries
an accreditation by ESYD, (Greek National Accreditation System),
according to ISO/IEC 17021.
Management
Systems Certification Department of HELLENIC REGISTER OF SHIPPING
enforces a documented process that deals with the recording and
management of appeals and complaints, (Ε.Ν.Π. Δ 08 Complaints –
Appeals).
