AND SMALL CRAFT CERTIFICATION
Yachting and small craft activities are very popular
and constantly expanding in Greece since our country has the unique
priviledge of being surrounded by sea and by some thousands of beautiful
islands.
A specialized department was established long ago in
HRS to meet the demands, and more than 3500 pleasure and professional
small vessels are presently surveyed and certified by HRS. Furthermore
many steel and GRP luxurius yachts, as well as traditional wooden sail
boats have been built under our supervision. “TYPE APPROVAL”
certificates for the prototype vessel in a production series after completion
of required inspections and tests are issued.
HRS is
authorized to check and certify all types of new constructed pleasure
yachts and their equipment onboard, which is essential condition for
their free marketing within the european union.Recently
new contemporary “RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE CLASSIFICATION
AND CONSTRUCTION OF SMALL CRAFT” as well as “RULES AND REGULATIONS
FOR THE CLASSIFICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF INFLATABLE BOATS” have
been published, based on our knowledge and technical experience gained
in this field.
Certification of HRS ensures the reliability and quality
of the ships and offers to the owners services of high standards.
